General Questions

  • How do I shop the eStore? 
  • Do I need to create an account to order on the eStore?
    Yes, an account is required for eStore ordering. This ensures that all order, contact, and shipment details are up-to-date and accurate.
  • What’s the difference between “Buy” and “RFQ”? 
    “Buy” indicates a product that can be ordered online with the lead time shown, while “RFQ” is a product that is available upon request, with the price and lead time to be quoted by a Sales Engineer.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
    We currently only accept credit cards at checkout, though we plan to offer PayPal in the future. 
  • Is my credit card charged at shipment or at the time of checkout? 

    You can expect your card to be charged at the time the product ships. Keep in mind that a hold will be placed on the card for the order amount until the shipment date.

  • I need assistance with what motor I should buy – help!

    We have a variety of tools available that can help you select the ideal motor for your device/application. Recap of helpful links:

  • Can I add a gearhead or an encoder onto my motor? 
    To see whether gearheads and encoders are available with the motor you choose, please visit the motor’s specific product page and use the Gearhead and Encoder selector to see available options. Available combinations are delivered fully assembled and ready to use.
  • I want my motor customized – what do I do? 

    Customization is always an option with Portescap! In fact, 80% of our projects are custom-engineered. Simply reach out to us here to discuss your needs.

Shipping & Delivery

  • How long is the expected lead time?

    Though this will vary by product, the average lead time is 3 weeks (shipping time included). Please visit the specific product page to see the estimated lead times for each product.

  • My country is not on the shipping list – what do I do? 
    If you do not see your country listed here, please reach out to us via email or phone to assist with ordering.
  • Is my country going to be able to be shipped to in the future? 

    We’re continually expanding our shipping territories, so we recommend checking back often to see if your country has been added.

  • What shipping costs should I expect? 

    Shipping costs are personalized based on location and will be provided at the time of checkout.

  • I ordered a motor – how do I track it? 
    Tracking information is provided at the time of shipment and will be sent to the email address associated with the account.
  • Are VAT and DDP costs included in the shipping fee for countries outside the United States? 

    All transportation, custom tax, and duties costs are included in the shipping fee with the except of the VAT (where applicable). The VAT fee is paid upon delivery by the customer.
